Anniversary Addition 2016
Hello Friends and Sponsors, we at the Shoes Saves Foundation are happy to announce our Anniversary is upon us again. When God gave me the vision to start the Shoes Saves Foundation, I was deeply involved with a corporate life style at a major fortune 500 company. As a management person, my goal was to be efficient, manage my team of employees, and fly below the radar of any corporate non normalcies. Basically, we all want to be labeled as normal hard working employees with a great attitude. I was certainly no exception to that rule. When God placed it on my heart to start the Shoes Saves Foundation, I had no idea that the outcry for a Foundation such as ours; was so needed. But seven years later here we are, and still striving to be the best we can be. Now that we are celebrating our seventh year anniversary, we are proud to have been a service the community over the years. Our goal is to continue to grow and serve the community to higher heights moving forward in the future. Please continue to pray for us that we may be able to meet the needs of the people, and remain a strong source of community outreach, now and for many years to come. Don’t forget to continue to send your much needed donations to the Shoes Saves Foundation, as we put your donations to work for all those who express a need. Our scripture for January is from the book of Luke, Chapter 6, Verse 38, which says “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” Don’t forget to help someone else in need, with your giving’s this month, as God’s blessing for you, of your own; will come pouring right back on to you.
With the love of Christ, remember God is good.

P. S. Recite Joi's Prayer below for those who love to pray their own way through any situation:
Lord Elohim, help us through this time and bring us to our correct and rightful place. Forgive me of all my sins as I accept Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior, while knowing and believing he is the son of God. Lord remove all demonic forces from around us and those who heed their call. You are righteous and just, and a guiding force through the darkness. You answer the prayers of those who ask and call on you in the name of the Messiah. Bless us with right standing Lord, bless us with health and strength Lord, and help us meet all requirements of our own daily existence. Remember us Lord, and take us on wings of glory where we should go, stay and remain; in Jesus name Ben Elohim Al Akbar. Amen and Amen.

February 2, 2016
Happy February loyal friends and sponsors. Well that's right it's February again. The month we celebrate Valentine’s Day. Of course
Valentine’s Day is all about love. Love, love, love. Love hoped for, love sought after, and love ascertained. With all those ideas about love, it brings us back to the highest love of all, Agape Love. Which means a love for God, or worship, and a fear type of love for our Creator. God expresses his divine love for us in many ways; however one of the most obvious ways is with his giving of love through his sons sacrifice on the cross for all, for the purposes of forgiving our sins. Remember to follow Jesus's example of sacrifice and help someone in need through your giving’s, and send your much needed donation today.
Our scripture for February comes from the book of I Corinthians,
Chapter 13, verses 11-13, which says, "When I was a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see through a glass, darkly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity. “Charity is the biblical word for love, and the greatest of emotions is love. Remember to love and show love through your giving’s this month.
With the love of Christ, remember God is good!

March 2, 2016
Hello friends and sponsors, spring in the air again. Although there is snow outside, we at the Shoes Saves Foundation are happy to have a spring season rapidly approaching. With all that has been going on in The United States, especially, election time and the primaries; we are filled with gladness for change is on the horizon. Since we are talking about the election, we understand from many conversations with our loyal sponsors, how concerned they are, as well as their families and friends regarding who the next President of The United States of America is going to be. As a Religious and Christian Organization, we clearly follow the Evangelical Movement in the United States, and are in fact supporters of the Evangelical Movement. One might even say we are Evangelical, which is affiliated with the Pentecostal/Full Gospel Church, and several other churches globally. We want obviously the best candidate for the job to become the next President of The United States. For us, that means family values, the economy, unemployment, crime, and medical/dental insurance among other things. Whoever you are supporting this election, remember, we are Christians first, and our first obligation is to Gods Plan. Keep that in mind when voting this year. Our scripture for the month of March comes from the book of Mathew, chapter 18, verses 15-20; which says "Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother. But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican. Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them". Remember in numbers we stand. As the word says when two or three are gathered in the name of Lord, he is in the midst of them. As the multitude, we can accomplish anything. Also, don't forget your giving’s this month, as we depend on your giving’s to help so many. Please send in your donations today.
With the love of Christ, remember God is good!

April 2, 2016
Hello loyal friends and sponsors. Happy April. In January 2016 The Shoes Saves Foundation announced our focus for the New Year; which is wholeness in mind, body, soul, and spirit. In lieu of that, we have decided to dedicate this month’s newsletter to that goal. For the rest of this year you’ll often hear us discuss all sorts of things to promote “complete wholeness” or what we refer to as complete wholeness in body, mind, soul, spirit. As such, we would like to remind you to consider a healthier choice in diet and exercise this year. Park at the furthest location in the parking lot and walk a little further to the door or take the steps, not the elevator, also take a whole vitamin daily. This will assist you in change of weather environments, or the in between seasonal changes while your body adjusts. We also recommend Echinacea and Vitamin C to boost your own body's immune system. These tips will help keep you strong and healthy, promoting a healthy body; while getting us one step closer to our goal of “complete wholeness.” Eat more vegetables each week, until vegetables are your snacking selection first choice. You'll soon find vegetables will become first nature when you get the munchies.
Don’t forget to send your much needed donations this month, as your donations serve a constant need. With your donations we help as many as possible. Our scripture for the month of April comes from the 3 book of John or 3 John, chapter 1, verses 2-3; which says, “ Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well. It gave me great joy when some believers came and testified about your faithfulness to the truth, telling how you continue to walk in it.”

Hello friends and sponsors, how about those Tigers? Well Comerica Park’s home opener for the Detroit Tigers was our unofficial first day of spring in Detroit Michigan. Of course, of course, we know the first day of spring officially started March 20’Th 2016 and not March 8’Th 2016 during the Tigers home game; but for us Michigan Folks, for the most part; we love sports, and spring has officially arrived. When we think of spring we remember the many children and adults who need shoes as the season changes. For most of us, that means putting away our winter boots and pulling out our sandals and beach shoes; but for those who cannot afford seasonal shoes; the Shoes Saves Foundation seeks to help. This is why we so urgently need your donations, especially as the seasons change. Remember those less fortunate, this spring & summer season, and send in your much needed donations today. Also, don’t forget this year we are all about “Complete Wholeness” in body, mind, soul, and spirit. As such, remember to exercise three to four times a week, start by walking, or running, then as your endurance increases, you will find it easier to lift weights and try more difficult exercises on a stepper, elliptical, stationary bike, and leg & abdominal crunch machines. Also swimming, biking, and mountain climbing are really exciting if you’re the outdoors type of person. Most of all, just keep active and continue to be faithful to your exercise schedule while staying motivated and keeping your spirit up. Our scripture for the month of May comes from the book of Galatians, chapter 5, verses 22-25; which says, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.”

June 2, 2016
Hello loyal friends and sponsors. Summer is almost here, and we at the Shoes Saves Foundation, are jovial about the summer season. June 20’Th 2016 is the first official day of summer, and how wonderful it is. We are ecstatic about the sun shine and warm weather. We have already celebrated Memorial Day on the 30’Th of May, for which our friends and sponsors were elated to bring the holiday in with a bang. We had reports of barbecue city almost everywhere, and many people sent us emails, text messages, and various other well wishes for the wonderful day, meant to honor our fallen heroes. So many times we take light of the wonderful sacrifices that our service men and women made to protect our country and our freedoms, it is refreshing to have a day to celebrate their lives and honor their choices to serve and protect our country. For this reason and so many more, we would like to say a big THANKS, to all those who have served and died in the effort to protect our country. Also, a great deal of pride is what we feel for the family members of those service men and women who have been fortunate enough to have directly known such heroic individuals. Needless to say, this was one of our best Memorial Days yet. We were happy with all the well wishes we received.
As we transition into the summer season and remember our fallen heroes, make a commitment to make a pledge in their honor, by making a donation today for the needy. The shoes Saves Foundation would love to receive any donation in honor of our service men or women who died in service to their country. We at the Shoes Saves Foundation, understand how important it is to remember the legacy and contributions of our American Heroes, so please make a donation today. We also, love to hear from our loyal sponsors and friends as well as, new friends and sponsors, so don’t delay; make difference today, for yourself or to honor the memory of a loved one. Our scripture reading for the month of June comes from the book of Proverbs, chapter 28, verse 27, which says: Those who give to the poor will lack nothing, but those who close their eyes to them receive many curses.” Remember the poor and needy today, and remember: May God richly bless you of your own blessings, for your love, trust, hope and faith in him.

July 2, 2016
Hello friends and sponsors, its Independence Time again; that’s right the 4’Th of July, or Independence Day. Many years ago this country declared its independence from Great Brittan on July 4’Th 1776. On that day The Declaration of Independence was our nation’s announcement to Great Brittan, of our decision to become an independent nation. Since then, we have been steadfast with the celebratory ideas and concepts of the 4’Th of July. The earliest known celebrations were held in Philadelphia, on July 8’Th 1776, after The Declaration of Independence was read publicly to several colonist. After the public reading, the newly formed American citizens celebrated with gun shoots and fireworks displays. When we think about what this great nation of The United States of America has been become, since of day of Independence, we find we have forged ourselves in leadership globally. We are leaders in the Automotive, Technology, Space Exploration, Education and Medical Industries. My, have we grown. We are the leaders of the free world, and it shows. God Bless America, my home, sweet home. Take a moment this holiday season, and remember our humble beginnings, as people who struggled to find a place in this world, and overcame the worse circumstances of war, slavery, famine, sickness, international enemies, and every type of hardship, to become what we are today. Remember our service people who fought for our freedoms; many of which were barely adults in war torn situations. Remember their sacrifices, and the countless service men and women who died over the years in various international and domestic conflicts. There is no place like America on God’s Green Earth. We are certainly however; not without our faults, but; we are a strong nation that has grown into a beautiful diverse culture, thus making us so unique. Happy Independence Day (4’Thof July) to the USA, from us at The Shoes Saves Foundation, now and for many years to come.
Remember to keep us at The Shoes Saves Foundation in your prayers and don’t forget to send in your donations today. We are very proud of the loyal sponsors and friends for their hard work and support; please continue to be diligent with your donations, as so many require help in the community. Our scripture reading for the month of July comes from the book of Luke, chapter 10, verses 30-37, which says: “In reply Jesus said: “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he was attacked by robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead. A priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side. So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him. The next day he took out two denarii[e] and gave them to the innkeeper. ‘Look after him,’ he said, ‘and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have. Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers? “The expert in the law replied, “The one who had mercy on him. ”Jesus told him, “Go and do likewise.” Remember the story of the Good Samaritan this month, as you look to help another deserving person in need.

August 2, 2016
Hello Friends and Sponsors. Well it’s August all over again, and what do we call August; the hottest month of the summer. This August, thus far, has not yet let us down; as we have had a few warm days already. We look forward to every August, because we know that school returning is right around the corner. As our children wine down for the last leg of the summer before school starts back, we remind people to get out doors and have some fun. Take that family vacation you’ve been putting off, or spend the day outside at the water park, or find a nice cool area with lots of shade for a family cook out. Just get out and have some fun. This reminds me of a story I heard as a child, where Jesus as a little boy was in the temple teaching the elders and the scribes, and Mary and Joseph were very concerned about him, as he had been missing for a short time. When they finally found him in the synagogue, he said” didn’t you know I’d be in my Father’s House”. This reminds us that even young Jesus knew how to have fun, he went to his place of rejoicing to replenish himself. Whatever you like to do that is healthy and pleasing in the eye sights of God Almighty himself, find some time, and do that this summer. I personally love to garden and make fresh recipes from my harvest, so this summer I’ll be canning fresh fruits and veggies and making other summer time delights. Just remember to stay hydrated and drink lots of water, don’t overdo it, and most of all, if it gets too hot, go in doors and cool off. Make sure you keep plenty of sun screen, and just have great time this summer.
Remember to send in your much needed donations, as so many count on your giving’s. As the month of August gets underway, remember September is just around the corner, and children will have a need for school shoes, and this is your time to shine. Make a child happy this school season, by sponsoring them for a pair of shoes. Our scripture reading for the month of August comes from the book of Psalms 37, verses 21 – 26, which says, “The wicked borrow and do not repay, but the righteous give generously; those the LORD blesses will inherit the land, but those he curses will be destroyed. The LORD makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the LORD upholds him with his hand. I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread. They are always generous and lend freely; their children will be a blessing.” Remember to bless someone else this summer, and upcoming school season.
With the love of Christ, remember God is Good.

Hello Friends and Sponsors, it’s that time again. School time is back, and wouldn’t you know it; parents are jumping for glory to get the kids back off to school again. Everywhere we go parents have been expressing what a wonderful summer they had this year with their family and friends, but like every year the summer is coming to an end. We were elated to find our community gearing up for the upcoming fall season this year also. We have welcomed a new gym to our community on Gratiot between Seven Mile and State Fair, and also a new bakery on Gratiot near Seven Mile across from family dollar. In spite of it all, we somehow continue to grow in many ways. We have seen several other positive changes as well this summer, such as; the improvements to the playground on Griener between Joanne and Fairport streets. Several community volunteers worked hard this summer installing a new fence and benches as well as; several new playground picnic tables. We also had our annual neighborhood cleanup day efforts completed this year; and look forward to growing that project next year to even larger heights. Please continue to keep us in your prayers, as we press forward to seek change and continual improvements on the Northeast side of Detroit, all Detroit city Proper, in the state of Michigan, in the United States America, and globally.
Don’t forget to send in your donations this month; as the new school season is upon us, and we help all those that we can. This is why your continued support is so very important, now and in the future. As children begin the new school year, the outcry is great. Help us, help a child today. Our scripture reading for the month of September comes from the book of Psalms, chapter 113, verse 7, which says: “He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap.” Remember those who need to be lifted up this month, and let the love and kindness of The Lord God Almighty fill your hearts with his goodness that will continue to shine through on you.
With the love of Christ, remember God is Good.

October 2, 2016
Hello Friends and Sponsors its October again, and you know what that means; OCTOBERFEST. This year for Octoberfest we are focusing on the theme, “LOVE AND CARE”. We at the Shoes Saves Foundation, want everyone in the global community to focus on appropriate Love and Care for others in the community. For example, if your mailman is not feeling well, leave them a get well card, or if your husband is sad, cook him an extra special dinner. Remember to care for those in your own household first (or those who will eventually be a part of your own house hold), then remember any others who deserve Love and Care. Think of the words of I Timothy, chapter 5, verse 8: which says: “Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.” Let’s do our best this Octoberfest 2016 to keep our thoughts on what Octoberfest truly stands for. So remember; and don't forget, about Octoberfest 2016: This October 1 through 31 is Octoberfest. Octoberfest focuses of community and has a specific theme this year of "LOVE AND CARE". We, the Shoes Saves Foundation staff, management, and sponsors, want to encourage our neighbors and community to remember to look out for the safety of all those around us in the community this October, and all year long. This means, watching out for the kids who walk by in the morning going to the bus stop, or helping an elderly neighbor cross the street. Remember to watch out for all unoccupied houses during the Halloween/Angels Night season as well. When we help each other; the community grows and flourishes. At the end of Octoberfest; we end the month with a celebration of nature’s goodness for the season changes, as fall has begun. Remember our community focus of "LOVE AN CARE", and together we can make a difference.
Also, don’t forget to send in your donations this month; as we need your help, to help all those that we can. This is why your continued support is so very important, now and in the future. As children continue through the new school year, the outcry is great. Help us, help a child today. Our scripture reading for the month of October comes from the book of Psalms, chapter 23, verse 6, which says: “Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.”
With the love of Christ, remember God is Good.

November 2, 2016
Praise The Lord; friends and loyal sponsors, its November again. So much has happened since the last time we spoke. We, at the Shoes Saves Foundation are so pleased to introduce you to our favorite social organization called The Barn Owl Society. The Barn Owl Society is an organization focused on barn building and wild life conservation. They also focus heavily on family and friend development, and love to attract like mined people. We love their community approach and enthusiasm regarding The American Farmer and Farmers globally. They realize, without the farmer, our existence would be next to impossible, as we need food to survive as a society. Please continue to pray for the members and their cause, as we are a community of one. Also, there has been a huge interest in The Articles of Sound Doctrine; specifically The GOD-DIAC and The Power of The Seven. If you are interested The Articles of Sound Doctrine they are available online for sale at www.shoessaves.com under the STORE tab. You’ll be pleasantly surprised to find out all sorts of things about the GOD-DIAC, which takes a true look at the animal depictions of the Zodiac, as it relates to God’s kingdom. The GOD-DIAC is also listed on www.shoessaves.com for short period of time, absolutely free.
Finally, we would like to report, Octoberfest 2016 was a huge success, and we want to thank all those who participated this year. We look forward to an even bigger turn out next year. Please remember to send in your much needed donations, as the winter season is approaching and that means; high demands on boots and other winter style shoes. Don’t forget together we can make a difference. Our scripture reading for the month of November comes from the book of Hosea, Chapter 6 Verse 8, which says: ” my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. “Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children.” Don’t be destroyed for lack of knowledge, become informed, and stay informed.

December 2, 2016
Hello Friends and Sponsors, happy December. Now that we are pass Thanksgiving, Christmas is right around the corner. We are excited about the holiday season this year, as time slows for no one. With that in mind, we are elated to announce our plans for the New Year. We love helping as many people as possible, however, next year we would like to increase our focus on the youth in the community. We of course, will complete our steadfast approach to helping to gather and disperse as many shoes as we can; while completing our year long goals of resume building and work search references. Please continue to pray for us, as we our goal for increasing health awareness for the youth in the community next year, will keep us encouraged. We plan on building a concentrated effort to encourage the youth to be responsible about sexual activity, with an emphasis on abstaining and peer pressure techniques. We also plan to encourage them to get HIV tested, if they have ever had unprotected sex. 2017 will prove to be a big year, with lots of priority placed on the health of those in the community. Also, we’d like to take a moment to wish all our readers a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Please remember to send in your much needed donations, as the winter season is approaching and that means; high demands on boots and other winter style shoes. Don’t forget together we can make a difference. Our scripture reading for the month of December comes from the book of Luke, Chapter 2 Verse 1 - 21, which says: ”In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. (This was the first census that took place while[a] Quirinius was governor of Syria.) And everyone went to their own town to register. So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them. And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.” When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.” So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told. On the eighth day, when it was time to circumcise the child, he was named Jesus, the name the angel had given him before he was conceived.”

May 2, 2012,
Hello Neighbors, Friends, & Shoes Saves Sponsors: The Shoes Saves Foundation is very excited about the spring summer season this year; we have already began to see the excitement in the air with many of our sponsors and neighbors. We were proud to experience the tree planting project within the Osborn Neighborhood aka Asian Town area in city of Detroit, Michigan. The Shoes Saves Foundation and all our neighbors received a new pair tree. Our tree was proudly planted in front of the Shoes Saves Foundation Detroit Satellite Office, located at 18109 Westphalia St. Detroit, Michigan 48205, 734-833-3218. The trees were donated by DET Energy. The trees have definitely brightened up the entire block. We look forward to watching the trees grow and flourish, while they provide years of beauty and shade on our block.
The Shoes Saves Foundation continues to provide job free job searches, and free computer training for the community, as well as of course shoes. We recently met a woman named Valerie who was an out of work licensed beautician/hair dresser. We were able to locate twelve jobs opening in the area that are accessible via bus line and a short driving distance. We feel confident that Valerie will find work soon based on her own previous work history, talent, and a little bit of help from the Shoes Saves Foundation Staff. Please continue to keep the Shoes Saves Foundation in your prayers and continue to send your monthly donations; as your donations make deserving people like Valerie and others a success story. Please feel free to find out more about us on our website www.shoessaves.com. Donations can be picked up by sending us an email to shoessaves@yahoo.com. Hello friends and sponsors of the Shoes Saves Foundation. It's me again, your friendly Shoes Saves Foundation Founder and Executive Officer
Reverend Joi Karla Hubert, that's right; I did say Reverend. Its been a little while since the last time we spoke, but I'm glad to be talking with you again. Since we spoke last, I started a spiritual journey that lead me to becoming ordained in Christian Ministry. Many of you are aware of my strong faith and closeness with the Lord, and have been inspired by my personal walk with Christ. With the encouragement of many family, friends, and Shoes Saves Foundation Sponsors, my journey that started with just a natural curiosity, with ministry work in Christian leadership, ended with me becoming ordained. Long story short, I'm now the Reverend Joi Karla Hubert; it pleases me to announce. I plan on using the additional knowledge I have gained through my studies and training in ministry to further the cause and mission of the Shoes Saves Foundation. I also look forward to being pleasing in the eye sights of the Lord, by stewardship in direct church environments. Our focus at the Shoes Saves Foundation has not changed. Shoes, shoes, shoes, and shoes + community = a better day. Please keep us in your prayers, and remember: only God Saves, but Shoes Will Save The Feet!!!!! Finally, a heartfelt thought of appreciation goes out to my ministry mentor and his ministry legacy; my cousin Pastor Donald Fields, of the Puritan Avenue Baptist Church. Don't forget to send all donations to the Shoes Saves Foundation 18109 Westphalia, Detroit Michigan, 48205, or via the web at www.shoessaves.com; then select the donation tab.

November 2, 2015
Hello friends and sponsors. Happy November! Its November already again. Here at the Shoes Saves Foundation, we’ve been reflecting on the year and all the wonderful things the Lord has done thus far in 2015. We have so much to be thankful for, as “he is good, and his mercies endureth forever”; 1 Chronicles 16: (34). With the upcoming holiday season upon us, we look forward to our holiday donation drive; SHOES FOR CHRISTMAS. The SHOES FOR CHRISTMAS campaign is designed to bring us toward our goal of meeting the shoe needs of as many as p0ssible in providing shoes for the Christmas season. Don’t forget to make your donation today, as your donation does count. So many need help, and in the true spirit of Christ, which is what Christmas is all about; we love to reach those in need. Remember to reflect on The Scripture Readings for the Month of November: Ephesians 3: (20-21)”Now unto him that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen”.
Remember that God can abundantly fulfill our needs and the needs of his people. He does this in many ways, and Christians answering his call to give to the poor and needy; is one way he meets the needs of his own. Love on someone today, With The Love Of Christ; through your donation. Remember “God loveth a cheerful giver”; 2 Corinthians 9: (7). As you give, your heart shall be full of delight, for the Lord will love your cheerfulness.
With the love of Christ, remember God is good.

December 2, 2015
Hello friends and sponsors, Happy December to you. With the month of December comes my favorite time of year, that’s right Christmas. As you know we have been focusing on our Shoes For Christmas Campaign. Please remember to send your donations, as we would love to exceed our expectations for the goal this year in providing shoes to all those who need them in the community. Together we can do it. At this time we also like to talk about our plans at the Shoes Saves Foundation for next year. Our objectives are to ramp up for the next fiscal year by rededicating ourselves to last year’s goals an adding our additional commitments to the community. We will continue to stay focused on the continual disbursement of shoes to those in the community who require it, as well as working with other community leaders to enhance existing programs for the youth such as summer job placement for summer vacation work. We will also be looking to organize community clean up days, and focus on work search seminars for people of all ages and backgrounds; for interview and other job/work best practices techniques for landing a job or career of interest. Our goal is to stay ahead of the curve regarding the things the community has a huge out cry for, and employment is at the top of list. We would love to hear from you with suggestions in our quest to better serve the community. We would also like to take a moment and wish all our loyal friends and sponsor a wonderful and safe holiday season. May the Lord richly bless you with your own blessings that he has in store for you through this holiday season, and your family as well. Our monthly scripture for December is from the book of Isaiah, chapter 53, verse 5; which says “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.” Remember what Christmas is really about, which is the birth of Christ; and the many sacrifices he made for us.
With the love of Christ.
