January 5, 2020.

Hello friends and sponsors, and happy new year. As you know, the new year brings about lots of new events; and one of those new events is our new yearly theme. Typically, we announce our yearly theme every February of the new year, however; this year we’ve decided to let our reading audience, members, and loyal sponsors choose our theme for the year 2020. Here’s how it works. Listed below, are three themes our management and staff have decided upon; now you just simply have to pick which one you like the best, then send us an email by clicking the yellow contact button below. We here at the Shoes Saves Foundation will tally up the votes, and the theme with the most votes wins. Once we have tallied all the votes, the winning theme will be announced next month as normal. Simple.

Here are the three choices:
1) Live your dreams.
2) Love the yourself, and those who truly love you.
3) Do the work, then gain the reward.

Now here comes the fun part, “Click on the contact button, and just type in (1, 2, or 3) in the message line." Note: You do not need to fill out name, email, or subject. Also, you may vote as often as you like from 01/03/20 through 02/03/20.

Praise The Lord, and may the best theme win!!!

Don’t forget to keep us in prayer, at The Shoes Saves Foundation; as prayer does truly change things. Also, don’t forget to send in your much needed donations, as so many depend on them; and our goal is to help as many as we can, while also continuing our building renovation project. Also, if you would like to send in your monthly tithes and offerings, or any donation, you may do so by following the instructions on the donations tab. Finally, if you would like to join our ministry, please go to the contact page and follow the instructions. Praise The Lord. Our scripture reading for the month of January comes from the book of Isaiah Chapter: 61, Verse: 1 -4, which says: "[ The Year of the Lord’s Favor ] The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion—to bestow on them a crown of beauty
instead of ashes, the oil of joy
instead of mourning, and a garment of praise
instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
a planting of the Lord
They will rebuild the ancient ruins
and restore the places long devastated;
they will renew the ruined cities
that have been devastated for generations." Remember, what our purpose is. All of us, not just one of us, all of us. If you forget, read the monthly scripture again; that is listed above. Praise The Lord.

Recite Joi's Prayer below for those who love to pray their own way through any situation:

Lord Elohim, help us through this time and bring us to our correct and rightful place. Remove all demonic forces from around us and those who heed their call. You are righteous and just, and a guiding force through darkness. We also ask you to cleanse and purify all that we eat and drink, on a daily basis. Lord God of all the heavens and earth, I believe in my heart that Jesus is the son of God, and confess with my own mouth: Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior. Jehovah God, you answer the prayers of those who ask and call on you in the name of the Messiah. Bless us with right standing Lord, bless us with health and strength Lord, and help us meet all requirements of our own daily existence. Shine us up Lord, and remember us Lord, and take us on wings of glory where we should go, stay and remain; in Jesus name Ben Elohim Al Akbar.
Amen and Amen

February 5, 2020.

Hello friends and sponsors, and happy February 2020. Of course, February is known as the month of love. We celebrate Valentine’s Day on February 14’Th every year; and at that time, we give candies, and say I love you, as expressions of our love. Remember the love The Lord of Host has for us, this February; then pass it on. One of the ways we here at the Shoes Saves Foundation; will be passing it on, is through the yearly theme, and without further ado, our 2020 yearly theme is: “Do the work, then gain the reward.” After a month of votes being tallied; our members, friends, and loyal sponsors, have spoken, and what a theme they have selected this year. Remember, to encourage all you meet this year, and in times to come; to “Do the work, then gain the reward.” With that being said; Happy, Happy, Happy Valentine's Day. Praise The Lord.

Don’t forget to keep us in prayer, at The Shoes Saves Foundation; as prayer does truly change things. Also, don’t forget to send in your much needed donations, as so many depend on them; as our goal is to help as many as we can, while also continuing our building renovation project. Our scripture reading for the month of February comes from the book of Ephesians Chapter: 4, Verse: 16, which says: "From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work." Remember, that The Lord does set things to work; including the human body, so let's do our best this year to make him proud. Praise The Lord. Hallelujah.

March 5, 2020.

Hello friends and sponsors, and happy happy March 2020. We here at The Shoes Saves Foundation Ministries, are elated to reach the month of March each year; as March starts us on our way to springtime. With that in mind, we are happy to see the snow melting, and some of the chill leaving the air. Praise The Lord, God Almighty in Heaven above. Of course, when spring is near, that brings us closer to one of the most holy times of the year, Easter. Easter of course; marks the time of year when Jesus was crucified on the cross, and ascended to heaven three days later. This is one of the most rejoicing times of the year, for Christians worldwide. We here at The Shoes Saves Foundation are happy to celebrate this time of the year with, praise and worship, good tidings for our fellow man, and a wonderful brunch; which reminds us of the Last Supper, Jesus and his disciples had, shortly before he was crucified for our sins. Hallelujah!!! We all have our own little unique ways of celebrating Springtime and or Easter, whether it’s hanging out with loved ones, going to church, having a big dinner/brunch/gathering, or just chilling out with a good book. Whatever it is, that brings you closer to the love The Lord has for us, through the sacrifice The Christ made for us; we here at The Shoes Saves Foundation, wish you a Happy and Wonderful Easter Season. Also, don’t forget to contact us at 313-926-6702, if you want some additional Easter event ideas. Praise The Lord.

"Now Jesus was going up to Jerusalem. On the way, he took the Twelve aside and said to them, We are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and the teachers of the law. They will condemn him to death and will hand him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified. On the third day he will be raised to life!"
Don't forget the incredible sacrifice that was made for you and your loved ones this Easter/Spring Season, for God so loved the world, he gave his only begotten son. Praise The Lord.

May 5, 2020.

Hello friends and sponsors, and happy, happy, May 2020. That's right folks, today is Cinco De Mayo, or the 5’Th of May. I know, most of us have been quarantined to ourselves, and family members inside; for safety sake, during this global pandemic. All of this staying in, is a bit much to handle, however; we continue to remain optimistic that change is coming soon. On a brighter note, I thought we’d focus on something happier today. With that in mind, I’d like to encourage you all to think about celebrating Cinco De Mayo today. Some people might think Cinco De Mayo is only for Latinos, however, Cinco De Mayo can be celebrated by all. What is the true meaning of Cinco De Mayo? Cinco De Mayo has to do with, the battle of Puebla on May 5'Th 1862 between the Mexican and French armies. It represents the idea of freedom and unity in the toughest of circumstances. I like the way, we can all relate to the concept of togetherness, because of this holiday. So make yourself a taco, and celebrate Cinco De Mayo this year.

Our scripture reading for the month of May, comes from the book of Psalms, chapter 133, verse 1, which says:
"How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live
together in unity!"

Remember, we in the Christian world, stand together united.

Praise The Lord.

June 5, 2020.

Hello friends and sponsors, and happy, happy, happy, June. Yeah, the sunshine is in full effect. We are very excited this year, in anticipation of the warm weather, and look forward to some of the COVID-19 restrictions being lifted. Our hope has been, with the warm weather now upon us, some of the germs causing the Corona Virus, will die off in the heat wave this year. However, things are improving, as of June 2020, 58,035 cases of COVID-19 in the state of Michigan, 38,000 confirmed recoveries, and 5,570 deaths. Although, the death toll is alarming, we are, ecstatic about the recovery numbers. The US numbers seem to be improving as well, in terms of the death to recovery ratios. As of June 4'Th, 2020 there have been 1,842,101 cases, and 107,029 deaths; and although 100 thousand deaths is more than we can bare, things do also seem to be slowing down in losses of lives, due to COVID-19. On to happier topics, gardening. With all of the quarantining that has been happening, some of our over the top beautiful gardens have been tossed to the side this year. I'm here to encourage you to plant anyway, although it is somewhat late in the season, as most of us start turning the soil over for fresh seed in April, no later than May. There are plenty of solutions to a late start, such as already potted flowers and fruits/vegetables, flowers or vegetables that are already seeded, and only require watering, as we see on plant and flower mats. Also, don't forget the indoor plant possibilities; which include kitchens, basements, and permanent and temporary green houses. Let's get our gardening on, Lord knows, we can use the welcomed distraction.
Praise The Lord.

Don’t forget to keep us in prayer, at The Shoes Saves Foundation; as prayer does truly change things. Finally, if you would like to join our ministry, please go to the contact page and follow the instructions. Praise The Lord. Our scripture reading for the month of June, comes from the book of Ezekiel, chapter 47, verse 12, which says: "Fruit trees of all kinds will grow on both banks of the river. Their leaves will not wither, nor will their fruit fail. Every month they will bear fruit, because the water from the sanctuary flows to them. Their fruit will serve for food and their leaves for healing." Remember, this year; gardening, and the planting of trees, fruits/vegetables, and flowers, are the answer to our healing. Praise The Lord.

August 5, 2020.

Hello friends and sponsors, it's August again. That's right, school will be starting again soon, as the summer is coming to an end. Well now is the time to plan those last minute, and scheduled vacation destinations. Although COVID-19, put a damper on things this year, there is a good amount of vacation favorites now re-opened; such as Disney World. We are also seeing an influx of other vacation destinations following in the same path as Disney World, and re-opening to the public. Hip, hip, hooray; for that. Now, let’s talk about one of my favorite topics, OCTOBERFEST 2020. What is Octoberfest, you ask? Octoberfest is: An October based celebration, which begins in October every year. For us, here at The Shoes Saves Foundation, Octoberfest is not a German beer drinking festival; but a time for the community to reflect on togetherness. However, like the traditional German festival; we are happy to gather at various points during the month of October; to celebrate with family, friends, and various people in the community. With that being said, The Shoes Saves Foundation, is happy to present, Octoberfest 2020.
************************************************************************
Octoberfest 2020

Let’s do our best this Octoberfest 2020 to keep our thoughts on what Octoberfest truly stands for. So remember; and don't forget, about Octoberfest 2020: This October 1 through 31 is Octoberfest. Octoberfest focuses on community, and has a specific theme this year of "Do the work, then gain the reward". We, The Shoes Saves Foundation Staff, Management, and Sponsors, want to encourage our neighbors, and community; to remember to look out for the safety of all those around us in the community this October; and all year long. This means, watching out for the kids who walk by in the morning, going to the bus stop; or helping an elderly neighbor cross the street. Remember, to watch out for all unoccupied houses during the Halloween/Angels Night season as well. When we help each other; the community grows and flourishes. At the end of Octoberfest; we end the month with a celebration of nature’s goodness for the season changes, as fall has begun. Remember, our community focus of "Do the work, then gain the reward", and together we can make a difference.
Shoes Saves Foundation Management and Staff.

Don’t forget to keep us in prayer, at The Shoes Saves Foundation; as prayer does truly change things. Also, if you would like to send in your monthly tithes and offerings, or any donation, you may do so by following the instructions on the donations page. Finally, if you would like to join our ministry, please go to the contact page and follow the instructions. Praise The Lord. Our scripture reading for the month of August, comes from the book of Psalms, chapter 74, verse 17, which says: "It was you who set all the boundaries of the earth; you made both summer and winter." Praise The Lord, for all the seasons he made; let's make the most of the remaining, 2020 summer season.

Praise The Lord.

September 5, 2020.

Hello friends and sponsors, its September again, that’s right; it’s time for a whole new school year to begin. Let’s kick this months newsletter off with the burning question, are you going to have your kids; home school, online school, or go back to the school-house this year? Now I know, some us have our own reservations about enclosed buildings with the pandemic being what it is, however; some parents have said, their kids being home all day is such a major distraction, I’d prefer for them to return to the school-house. Whatever, your decision pans out to be, just make sure your kids are prepared for the new school year, that means lots and lots of hand sanitizer, face masks, normal school supplies, and a cell phone (depending on age) for all emergency contact purposes to reach you, and all that you have decided should be on their contact cellular speed dial. I personally, have excepted, that with the COVID-19 Pandemic, there is now a new normal. Online schools, are now the new normal. Home schooling is now the new normal. Wearing face masks, while inside enclosed spaces is now the new normal. Additionally, some of the enclosed spaces for the new normal; might be a school-house, or some place else. All of us, however; must adapt to the new normal. On a final note, Happy Labor Day, September 7, 2020. Praise The Lord.

October 5, 2020.

Hello friends and sponsors, it's October again; and you know what that means, Octoberfest. Now, before you get excited, Octoberfest, here at The Shoes Saves Foundation, is not a German drinking festival. Octoberfest is a time to reflect on the community for which we are all a part of. Octoberfest is: An October based celebration, which begins in October every year. As we mentioned earlier, for us, here at The Shoes Saves Foundation, Octoberfest won't involve endless beer drinking; but is a time for the community to reflect on togetherness. However, like the traditional German festival; we are happy to gather at various points during the month of October; to celebrate with family, friends, and various people in the community. With that being said, The Shoes Saves Foundation, is happy to present, Octoberfest 2020.

Praise The Lord for Octoberfest 2020.

Don’t forget to keep us in prayer, at The Shoes Saves Foundation; as prayer does truly change things. Our scripture reading for the month of October, comes from the book of Exodus, chapter 14, verse 12, which says:  “This is a day you are to commemorate; for the generations to come you shall celebrate it as a festival to the Lord—a lasting ordinance."
Don't forget The Lord, wants us to celebrate his goodness; so remember, Octoberfest 2020.

*New and fresh starts, for a new year.

Praise The Lord, for all The Lords Goodness.

Don’t forget to keep us in prayer, at The Shoes Saves Foundation; as prayer does truly change things. Also, don’t forget to send in your much needed donations, as so many depend on them; as our goal is to help as many as we can, while also continuing our building renovation project. Also, if you would like to send in your monthly tithes and offerings, or any donation, you may do so, by following the instructions on the donations page. Finally, if you would like to join our ministry, please go to the contact page, and follow the instructions. Praise The Lord. Our scripture reading for the month of December, comes from the book of: Luke, Chapter 2, Verses 1-52, which says: "In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. (This was the first census that took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria.) And everyone went to their own town to register. So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them. And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.” When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.”
So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told. On the eighth day, when it was time to circumcise the child, he was named Jesus, the name the angel had given him before he was conceived."

"When the time came for the purification rites required by the Law of Moses, Joseph and Mary took him to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord (as it is written in the Law of the Lord, “Every firstborn male is to be consecrated to the Lord”), and to offer a sacrifice in keeping with what is said in the Law of the Lord: “a pair of doves or two young pigeons."
Now there was a man in Jerusalem called Simeon, who was righteous and devout. He was waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was on him. It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not die before he had seen the Lord’s Messiah. Moved by the Spirit, he went into the temple courts. When the parents brought in the child Jesus to do for him what the custom of the Law required, Simeon took him in his arms and praised God, saying: “Sovereign Lord, as you have promised, you may now dismiss your servant in peace. For my eyes have seen your salvation,
which you have prepared in the sight of all nations: a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of your people Israel.” The child’s father and mother marveled at what was said about him. Then Simeon blessed them and said to Mary, his mother: “This child is destined to cause the falling and rising of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be spoken against, so that the thoughts of many hearts will be revealed. And a sword will pierce your own soul too.” There was also a prophet, Anna, the daughter of Penuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was very old; she had lived with her husband seven years after her marriage, and then was a widow until she was eighty-four.[e] She never left the temple but worshiped night and day, fasting and praying. Coming up to them at that very moment, she gave thanks to God and spoke about the child to all who were looking forward to the redemption of Jerusalem.
When Joseph and Mary had done everything required by the Law of the Lord, they returned to Galilee to their own town of Nazareth. And the child grew and became strong; he was filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was on him.
Every year Jesus’ parents went to Jerusalem for the Festival of the Passover. When he was twelve years old, they went up to the festival, according to the custom. After the festival was over, while his parents were returning home, the boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem, but they were unaware of it. Thinking he was in their company, they traveled on for a day. Then they began looking for him among their relatives and friends. When they did not find him, they went back to Jerusalem to look for him. After three days they found him in the temple courts, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. Everyone who heard him was amazed at his understanding and his answers. When his parents saw him, they were astonished. His mother said to him, “Son, why have you treated us like this? Your father and I have been anxiously searching for you.” “Why were you searching for me?” he asked. “Didn’t you know I had to be in my Father’s house?” But they did not understand what he was saying to them. Then he went down to Nazareth with  them and was obedient to them. But his mother treasured all these things in her heart. And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man."
This is the true meaning of Christmas, celebrating Jesus's birth, and life. Praise The Lord.

Praise The Lord.
