January 5, 2023
Hello friends, and sponsors, and happy January 2023. There is, lots to talk about, so let's jump right in. I've been seeing a bunch of advertisements for free government money, where the Government pays a certain amount every month; for people who earn under $50,000.00 a year, and are not receiving state funded Medicaid, or retirement earned Medicare. Please go to
www.reliefcenterusa.com, for more information. Also, don't forget to get your free COVID Booster, by contacting 1-800-232-0233. It is so very important, that we look after our own bodies, and health. We should also have, some concern; regarding the general health of those in our own communities. With all that the government is offering to all, let's do our best to take heed, and find use of these resources, some of which are not income based, such as the free COVID Boosters; which are free to all, regardless of income. With some of these new government programs, many hungry families will have a resource to put food on the table, and that is good. Far be it, for us all to be out hunting for food; all at the same time, while sharing a eat, or be eaten mentality. I for one, prefer Kroger's Grocery Store, over walrus hunting, however; if it came down to it, I WOULD EAT ANYTHING, THAT IS NOT HUMAN. Praise The Lord.
Don't forget; to keep us in prayer, at The Shoes Saves Foundation, as prayer does truly change things. Also, don't forget to send in your much needed donations, as so many depend on them; because our goal is to help as many as we can, while also continuing our building renovation project. In addition, if you'd like to send any donation, including your own tithes, an offering, you may do so, by following the instructions on the donations page. Finally, if you would like to join our ministry, please go to the contact page, and follow the instructions. Praise The Lord, our scripture reading for the month of January, comes from the book of Acts, chapter 11, verse 4-9, which says:" Starting from the beginning, Peter told them the whole story: “I was in the city of Joppa praying, and in a trance I saw a vision. I saw something like a large sheet being let down from heaven by its four corners, and it came down to where I was. I looked into it and saw four-footed animals of the earth, wild beasts, reptiles and birds. Then I heard a voice telling me, ‘Get up, Peter. Kill and eat. “I replied, ‘Surely not, Lord! Nothing impure or unclean has ever entered my mouth. “The voice spoke from heaven a second time, ‘Do not call anything impure that God has made clean."
Praise The Lord. All things on the planet earth are meant for us as humans, to eat' and have dominion over, except for other humans; as a gift from God Almighty, himself (see Genesis 1:1-31, pay close attention to verses 29 and 30, of Genesis Chapter 1). Praise The Lord of Host. Hallelujah!!!

Recite Joi's Prayer below for those who love to pray their own way through any situation:
Lord Elohim, help us through this time and bring us to our correct and rightful place. Remove all demonic forces from around us, and those who heed their call. You are righteous, and just; and a guiding force through all darkness. We also ask you to cleanse, and purify all that we eat and drink, on a daily basis. Lord God of all the heavens and earth, I believe in my heart, that Jesus is the son of God, and confess with my own mouth: Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior. Jehovah God, you answer the prayers of those who ask, and call on you in the name of the Messiah. Bless us with right standing Lord, bless us with health, and strength Lord, and help us meet all requirements of our own daily existence. Shine us up Lord, and remember us Lord, then take us on wings of glory where we should go, stay, and remain; in the name of Jesus, Ben Elohim Al Akbar. Amen and Amen

February 5, 2023
Hello friends, and sponsors, and happy, happy, happy; February.
As you know, February is the month of love, and we here at
The Shoes Saves Foundation, are excited about the approaching holiday, of Valentines Day. Since, Valentines Day is fast approaching, we thought we'd list a few ideas for a great holiday extravaganza, for both you; and your one, an only, true love.
1) Schedule, and prepay for a day at the spa, as a couple. Make sure you get facials for two, a manicure, and a pedicure for her, and body wraps, or massages for both him, and her. Then, follow up the day spa visit; with a romantic lunch, at your favorite restaurant, before the Valentines Day dinner guests, start rushing in.
2) If you are in a state where the weather is mild, or warm in February, plan a lovely picnic. Include in your picnic, a wicker picnic basket, (if don't already have one, google one online, or go to Macy's, Bloomingdale's, Nordstrom's, Ebay, or Walmart, and order a proper picnic basket. Since it is so close to February 14'th, think about express delivery). If your not big on cooking, no worries, order door dash, Uber Eats, or visit the hot food counter of your favorite grocer, then stock your picnic basket with your sweethearts, favorite foods. Make sure you pack a proper bottle of wine, or non-alcohol sparkling apple cider, (if you prefer no alcohol) and a wine bottle opener. Finally, don't forget a lovey, blanket, to layout, for your sweetie, and yourself.
3) Plan for a long weekend. This year 2023, Valentines Day, falls on a Tuesday, so give your sweetie a dozen of long stem red roses, and a traditional box of candy, and a card, on Valentines Day. In the card, mention a favorite mini vacation spot, and schedule a long weekend. In other words, take Friday February 17'th off from work, and go to your favorite bed and breakfast, or weekend retreat hotel, and hand out with your spouse, for a long weekend get away. Also, since it is the week of Valentines Day, make sure you make reservations in advance, of your desired weekend.
Praise Jesus, and happy Valentines Day.
Praise The Lord, our scripture reading for the month of February, comes from the book of Ephesians, chapter 5, verse 33, which says: "However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband."
Praise The Lord. Remember The Lord wants us to love our own spouses, so do something great for them this Valentines Day, February 14, 2023. Hallelujah, Praise The Lord!!!

March 10, 2023
Hello friends and sponsors, and happy, happy, March 2023. There's quite a bit going on at The Shoes Saves Foundation this month, so let's jump right into it. By now, I'm sure you've noticed, our newsletter has a date of March 10'Th, and not March 5'Th. As of this month, and continuing on in the future, we've decided to post The Shoes Saves Foundation newsletter on the 10'Th of every month. This gives us, just a little more wiggle room, to address any issues, or concerns, that may take place after the first of each month, and praise God for that. In that regard, no need to be concerned when The Shoes Saves Foundation monthly newsletter, does not post each month on the 5'Th, as in previous times. Praise The Lord. In addition, March is of course, the month of Saint Patrick's Day, so happy Saint Patrick's Day, to all the Irish around the world. Finally, we are pleased to announce, it's that time of year again, March Madness, and we here at The Shoes Saves Foundation, are happy to be filling out our own brackets this year. When you print it, it should look like this:
Feel free to use our bracket, or print one for yourself. Praise Jesus, and happy March Madness 2023.

Finally, if you would like to join our ministry, please go to the contact page, and follow the instructions. Praise The Lord, our scripture reading for the month of March, comes from the book of Ephesians, chapter 4, verses 11-13, which says:
"So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ."
Praise The Lord, and remember the Saints, who paved the way, for us to have our own religious freedoms. Remember the apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers, who; without their own continued effort, the spreading of the gospel, would have been lost. Hallelujah!!!!!

May 10, 2023
Hello friends, and sponsors, and happy, happy, May. We here at The Shoes Saves Foundation, want to wish all the mothers, a Happy Mothers Day, 2023. Along with Mothers Day, of course; the month of May marks, the national holiday of Memorial Day. Memorial Day, is a time of giving thanks; to those who lost their own lives, while serving, and defending our own great nation, of The United States of America. Keeping that in mind, The Shoes Saves Foundation is calling out for a national, moment of silence, on Monday May 29, 2023, at 4pm Eastern Standard Time, to honor our fallen. During the moment of silence, we encourage all to say a little prayer, or just observe the moment of silence. Please keep the above date, and time, in your own remembrance. Together, lets all, make it; a great Memorial Day, 2023.
Praise The Lord, our scripture reading for the month of May, comes from the book of I Chronicles, chapter 12, verses 1 -40, which says:
"These were the men who came to David at Ziklag, while he was banished from the presence of Saul son of Kish (they were among the warriors who helped him in battle; they were armed with bows and were able to shoot arrows or to sling stones right-handed or left-handed; they were relatives of Saul from the tribe of Benjamin):Ahiezer their chief and Joash the sons of Shemaah the Gibeathite; Jeziel and Pelet the sons of Azmaveth; Berakah, Jehu the Anathothite, and Ishmaiah the Gibeonite, a mighty warrior among the Thirty, who was a leader of the Thirty; Jeremiah, Jahaziel, Johanan, Jozabad the Gederathite, Eluzai, Jerimoth, Bealiah, Shemariah and Shephatiah the Haruphite; Elkanah, Ishiah, Azarel, Joezer and Jashobeam the Korahites; and Joelah and Zebadiah the sons of Jeroham from Gedor. Some Gadites defected to David at his stronghold in the wilderness. They were brave warriors, ready for battle and able to handle the shield and spear. Their faces were the faces of lions, and they were as swift as gazelles in the mountains. Ezer was the chief, Obadiah the second in command, Eliab the third, Mishmannah the fourth, Jeremiah the fifth, Attai the sixth, Eliel the seventh, Johanan the eighth, Elzabad the ninth, Jeremiah the tenth and Makbannai the eleventh.
These Gadites were army commanders; the least was a match for a hundred, and the greatest for a thousand. It was they who crossed the Jordan in the first month when it was overflowing all its banks, and they put to flight everyone living in the valleys, to the east and to the west. Other Benjamites and some men from Judah also came to David in his stronghold. David went out to meet them and said to them, “If you have come to me in peace to help me, I am ready for you to join me. But if you have come to betray me to my enemies when my hands are free from violence, may the God of our ancestors see it and judge you.”
Then the Spirit came on Amasai, chief of the Thirty, and he said: “We are yours, David! We are with you, son of Jesse!
Success, success to you, and success to those who help you, for your God will help you.” So David received them and made them leaders of his raiding bands. Some of the tribe of Manasseh defected to David when he went with the Philistines to fight against Saul. (He and his men did not help the Philistines because, after consultation, their rulers sent him away. They said, “It will cost us our heads if he deserts to his master Saul.”) When David went to Ziklag, these were the men of Manasseh who defected to him: Adnah, Jozabad, Jediael, Michael, Jozabad, Elihu and Zillethai, leaders of units of a thousand in Manasseh. They helped David against raiding bands, for all of them were brave warriors, and they were commanders in his army. Day after day men came to help David, until he had a great army, like the army of God.
Others Join David at Hebron.
These are the numbers of the men armed for battle who came to David at Hebron to turn Saul’s kingdom over to him, as the Lord had said:from Judah, carrying shield and spear—6,800 armed for battle; from Simeon, warriors ready for battle—7,100;
from Levi—4,600, including Jehoiada, leader of the family of Aaron, with 3,700 men, and Zadok, a brave young warrior, with 22 officers from his family: from Benjamin, Saul’s tribe—3,000, most of whom had remained loyal to Saul’s house until then;
from Ephraim, brave warriors, famous in their own clans—20,800; from half the tribe of Manasseh, designated by name to come and make David king—18,000; from Issachar, men who understood the times and knew what Israel should do—200 chiefs, with all their relatives under their command; from Zebulun, experienced soldiers prepared for battle with every type of weapon, to help David with undivided loyalty—50,000; from Naphtali—1,000 officers, together with 37,000 men carrying shields and spears; from Dan, ready for battle—28,600; from Asher, experienced soldiers prepared for battle—40,000; and from east of the Jordan, from Reuben, Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh, armed with every type of weapon—120,000. All these were fighting men who volunteered to serve in the ranks. They came to Hebron fully determined to make David king over all Israel. All the rest of the Israelites were also of one mind to make David king. The men spent three days there with David, eating and drinking, for their families had supplied provisions for them. Also, their neighbors from as far away as Issachar, Zebulun and Naphtali came bringing food on donkeys, camels, mules and oxen. There were plentiful supplies of flour, fig cakes, raisin cakes, wine, olive oil, cattle and sheep, for there was joy in Israel."
As history reminds us, when war has come in the past, (as sad as that is), The United States of America was ready. We know, some wars; were sanctioned by God Almighty Himself, as was mentioned above, in our own monthly scripture reading, concerning King David. As a result, of that reminder; don't forget our National Moment of Silence, this Memorial Day, 2023. Praise The Lord!!!

June 10, 2023.
Hello friends, and sponsors, and happy, happy, June 2023.
Praise The Lord, summer is in full bloom. Here at the Shoes Saves Foundation Ministries; our roses have begun to bloom, and what a beautiful sight. I personally, spent many hours this spring/summer season, pruning them, and working on the lawn; and various other gardening projects, including the church summer annex construction, and placement. We like to call it, The Winner's Circle, praise Jesus! Please see the home page, under Fact Of The Month, for our gardening commentary. Changing gears a little bit, I want to chat with you concerning our, Shoes Saves Foundation calendar of events, in particularly, Octoberfest, (October 1-31, 2023, please see the current events tab). Octoberfest is "NOT", a drinking holiday, here at The Shoes Saves Foundation Ministries, like celebrated by, Germany every year. For us, here at The Shoes Saves Foundation, Octoberfest, is a time for us, to celebrate the community, and then; end the month with a harvest celebration, as fall has begun. The Lord of Host, or
(The LOH), who does call, for all his people, to bring him forth, the first fruits of the harvest/crops; every harvest, and every year. That has never changed, although; a good portion of that biblical knowledge, is in Old Testament, however, The Christ, our Lord and Savior, as well as, The son of The Lord of Host, is the same yesterday, today, and forever, (Hebrews: Chapter 13, verse 8). This, just simply means, what was then, is also now; unless, The LOH said, a particular thing was done, and has been done away with. In fact, here at The Shoes Saves Foundation Ministries, or
(The SSFM), we do not believe in any drinking, or; to that point, anything else, that is not acceptable, from a biblical standpoint. In addition to that, the bible points out, only a few reasons to drink alcohol, and for your own edification, here are the reasons:
1) Communion: Your reference is, Luke: Chapter 22, verses 11-23.
2) Celebration: Your reference is, John: Chapter 2, verses 1-25.
3) Medication, For The Sick: Your reference is, Proverbs: Chapter 31 verse 6.
4) For Kingdom Come Regarding New Paradise On Earth, When Jesus Returns: Your reference is, Luke: Chapter 22, verse 18.
As we know, Jesus, walked the Earth sin free, and did not allow, or encourage, any else to be involved in any sin, so thereby, indulging in alcoholic beverages, or wine is not a sin, otherwise, Jesus, would have turned his own nose, up to it; making it known, to be sinful, as he always did, on all things, that were forbidden. We know that, the act of being a drunkard, especially a public drunkard, is a sin.
Praise The Lord, our scripture reading for the month of June, comes from the book of Proverbs, chapter 3, verses 9-10, which says: "Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the first fruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine."
Praise The Lord. Don't forget the harvest/crops, of your own first fruits. Hallelujah!!!!!

July 10, 2023.
Hello friends, and sponsors, and happy, happy, July 2023.
We have a bunch to talk about, this month; and what a way to kick off our discussion, but with summer time plans for the month of July. With another successful passing of the 4'Th of July holiday season, I thought, we'd change gears; just a little bit, and talk about outdoors summer time ideas. Let's start with camping , or glamping. How great would it be to explore the great outdoors, this summer. Maybe, take in a nice hike, go to a cabin, or just the old fashioned tent experience. With hunting season fast approaching, the thought of becoming more acclimated with nature, is inviting. Speaking of hunting, there are a number of great hunting grounds, preparing for this years hunting season. I personally, like the idea, of hunting buck, and pheasant. In addition, to the wild game available in many area's, fishing throughout the summer, and fall seasons, is going to be amazing. Finally, let's not forget about, going on a nice bike ride. If you own a bike; great, pull it out of the basement, or garage. If you don't own a bicycle, no worries, there are plenty of places; that will let you rent a bike, especially in most downtown areas. With that being said, I'm so excited, to kick it into gear, this summer; for a warm, and fun filled summer season.
Praise The Lord, our scripture reading for the month of July, comes from the book of Proverbs, chapter 30, verses 25, which says: "Ants are creatures of little strength, yet they store up their food in the summer." Let's remember, the example of the ants, as the wisdom of The Lord of Host, does remind us, in the book of Proverbs. We as God's people, can do better; as certainly, we are more mighty, than ants. Don't forget, like wise; along with the ants, since we should be storing up food, for the winter, let's have some outdoors fun, while doing so. Remember, to get some fishing, an a few other; summer time activities done. Hallelujah!!!!!

September 10, 2023.
Hello friends, and sponsors; and happy, happy, September. As you know, Labor Day, just pasted on 09/04/2023; so happy Labor Day 2023. Now that we've gotten that out of the way, lets chat about another important approaching date at the end of the month of September, Octoberfest. Now before you get excited, Octoberfest, here at The Shoes Saves Foundation Ministries, is not a drinking holiday, like celebrated in Europe. Here at The Shoes Saves Foundation, Octoberfest, is a time to reflect on family, friends, and the community. So with that said, here is the information regarding Octoberfest 2023: OCTOBERFEST "2023" IS HERE!!!!!
Don't forget about Octoberfest 2023, and every year. This October 1 through 31, is Octoberfest. Octoberfest focuses on community, and has a specific theme, this year of: "You must reap, what you sowed, so sow, something good". We, the Shoes Saves Foundation staff, management, and sponsors, want to encourage our neighbors; and community, to remember, to look out for the safety of all those around us in the community, this October, and all year long. This means, watching out for the kids, who walk by in the morning, going to the bus stop, or helping an elderly neighbor, cross the street. Remember, to watch out for all unoccupied houses, during the Halloween season as well. When we help each other; the community grows, and flourishes. Then we end the month, with a celebration/party; for nature’s goodness, and the season changes, as fall has begun. Remember, our community focus of "You must reap, what you sowed, so sow, something good", and together we can make a difference. Join us in celebrating, our very own version, of Octoberfest, this year 2023, by following our Octoberfest plan, or finding out what you can do, in your own community this year. Praise The Lord, our Community 5 Point Octoberfest Plan, is:
* Take some time to reflect on your own family, friends, and community - Find out what's going on.
* Remember, you must reap, what you, your own self sowed, so sow, something good - What you do, always finds a way to come back on you, or haunt you; good, for your own good, and bad, for your own bad.
* Look out for the safety of others around you, and in your own community - Be cognizant of your own environment, and that of your own community environment.
* Pay attention to unoccupied houses, and buildings in your own community - Remember your not a superhero, don't try to be one, just commit to; simply calling the police, if you observe something suspicious.
*Have a party, or celebration of some type, at the end of the month - Gather with loved ones, friends, and other concerned people in the community; to celebrate another awesome Octoberfest, completed.
Praise The Lord.
Don't forget; to keep us in prayer, at The Shoes Saves Foundation, as prayer does truly change things. Also, don't forget to send in your much needed donations, as so many depend on them; because our goal is to help as many as we can, while also continuing our building renovation project. In addition, if you'd like to send any donation, including your own tithes, an offerings, you may do so, by following the instructions on the donations page. Finally, if you would like to join our ministry, please go to the contact page, and follow the instructions. Praise The Lord, our scripture reading for the month of September, comes from the book of Numbers, chapter 14, verses 9, which says: "Only do not rebel against the Lord. And do not be afraid of the people of the land, because we will devour them. Their protection is gone, but the Lord is with us. Do not be afraid of them.” Remember, don't be afraid to call the police, and fire department, if you see any suspicious behavior near any unoccupied house, or building; because that's what law enforcement is there for. Also, house and building fires, in the community, affect us all; that being the case, it's not snitching. When everyone is hurt by an act of terror, it's not snitching.
Praise The Lord. Hallelujah!!!!!

December 10, 2023.
Hello, friends, and sponsors; and happy, happy, December. In the month of December, we live, love, and cherish, all that is great about the holiday season. Of course, with December, comes the wonders, of the Christmas season. I love this time of year, as it reminds me of an innocent time, of when, I was a child. I can remember, waiting until Christmas morning to open my presents, and being so happy, and full of anticipation, of what day would bring. People often say, "Christmas is for children", however; even now, I often get nostalgic, of all the excitement of the season. I hope this Christmas, brings you closer to the one's you love, and may all your own holiday season's best, shine through. Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year; from The Shoes Saves Foundation Ministries, and myself, The Good Reverend Joi Karla Hubert.

But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”
Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,
“Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests." Hallelujah!!!!!
